Welcome to ESL 5013

Welcome to ESL 5013. In order to create a sense of community, we will be using the class blog to post our reading reflections and to respond to each others comments. The online envoronment is becoming increasingly important in our daily lives and as a means of language learning and and teaching. Therefore as an experimental and integral part of our course on the Foundations of Second language Acquisition, we will use the blog in class. I will schedule a class in the Downtown computer lab so that we can create our blogs as a group. Once you have created your blogs you will send me the address and I will post them on the class blog so that your classmates can interact with your classmates. Some of you may already have your own blogs already. if so you may continue using them or create a new one. As I said, this is an experiment so there may be some mishaps, missteps, misfires. But I feel it is important to become familiar with this way of creating a virtual community.
